Carolina Solis
Texas A&M University-Texarkana
"Hello, my name is Carolina Solis and I will be attending Texas A&M University-Texarkana to pursue my volleyball career. I have been playing volleyball since the early age of four and started club at the age of 12. During my freshman year of high school I joined Texas Boom and was welcomed with open arms. Coming to Texas Boom showed me what having a second family was like. The many friendships I now have from joining Texas Boom is astounding. I can truly say this club dedicates time to each of their players but also to their families. Spending countless hours a week with coaches and my teammates, constantly working on getting better changed my perspective on this sport. Texas Boom helped me find that drive and love for volleyball. Texas Boom offers many opportunities to their players from privates, semi-privates, strength and conditioning, and much more.
The many coaches at Texas Boom are all dedicated to making their players better each practice, play, or talk. A memory that will always stick with me from Texas Boom is going to Florida for AAU. Going 10-3 with my amazing teammates and coaches is something I hold special to my heart. I can truly say that Texas Boom is my home away from home, my relief from reality, and my second family! "
Daniela Corona
Berea College
My name is Daniella Corona. I will be attending Berea College. I've played club volleyball for 6 years. When I first joined Texas Boom, I was a very timid player because of my coach from a previous team. The first day I stepped foot into Boom tryouts was the first day I met the coaches I would be having for the rest of my Boom career! That first day, I felt so welcomed by the coaches! They push you to be the player they know you are capable of becoming. As time with Boom went on, I gained my confidence in playing the game again. The coaches gave me reassurance and support that I needed when I was having a mental block and unable to play the game at my full potential, and for that I am forever grateful.
This last year of recruiting to continue my volleyball career in college was honestly the hardest. Not hearing back from College recruiters and coaches that assumed I may not be good enough was a struggle for me and affected me mentally, but having the Boom coaches and teammates as my number one supporters is what kept me going. Texas Boom is full of amazing coaches and players who are supportive, loving and caring, even about my our lives outside of volleyball. Texas Boom will always be my second family and I plan to visit them whenever I come back to town for the holidays!
